L 'Trimm - Grab it [1987]

Grab It! was first released on Miami-based Time-X Records in 1987, and after big local success with their single “Cars That Go Boom” the album was picked up for distribution by Atlantic a year later. For most of the planet, this was when they would have come into contact with it, so the 1988 birthdate stands as far as I am concerned. L’Trimm, which is French for “The Trimm,” consists of Chicago-born Bunny D and New-York born Tigra, though both ladies sound like a couple of giggling valley girls from New York. In this pre-“Ladies First” era, Bunny and Tigra make no bones about their gold digging, cocktease stratagem. Tigra goes so far as to proclaim: “My name is Tigra/ I’m a funky, fly skeezer/ my smile is big/ but my ego is bigger.” Isn’t being a skeezer a bad thing? This line comes from the title track, which also serves as a response track to Salt N’ Pepa’s “Push It,”

BDP - Criminal Minded [1986]

Criminal Minded doesn't try to deliver messages, make judgments, or offer solutions. That's clear on "South Bronx" and "The Bridge Is Over," two of the most cutting -- even threatening -- dis records of the '80s, which were products of a beef with Queens-based MC Shan. They set the tone for the album, which reaches its apex on the influential, oft-sampled "9mm Goes Bang." It's startlingly violent, even if KRS-One's gunplay is all in self-defense, and it's made all the more unsettling by his singsong ragga delivery. Another seminal hardcore moment is "Remix for P Is Free," which details an encounter with a crack whore for perhaps the first time on record. Elsewhere, there are a few showcases for KRS-One's pure rhyming skill, most notably "Poetry" and the title track. Overall it's very consistent, so even if the meat of Criminal Minded is the material that lives up to the title

LL Cool J - Radio [1985]

In 1984, when L.L. was 16, he met Rick Rubin, a student at NYU, who gave him his big break in music. Rick really liked L.L.'s music and decided to try to get him a record deal. Together, they made the single "I Need a Beat" and sent it to an artist manager named Russell Simmons. Simmons loved the single, and, in the same year, Rick and Russell co-founded the famous Def Jam Recordings; L.L.'s Debut album, "Radio," released in 1985, after securing a distribution deal for Def Jam with Columbia/CBS Records, was the label's first long-playing release. Even today, L.L. is considered one of Def Jam's most prized possessions.

So my mother coming out of the disco era was kinda into some original old school rap stuff.
Somehow i ended up with this LL Cool J - "Radio" Record From her i was about 11 then.
I heard all this scratchin in the music so this was the first record i ever attempted scratching on.. My mom knew i loved it so then i ended up with a Beastie Boys tape Later on from her....
Then i spend the rest of the time growing up hearing from her." Turn the rap shit off im sick of hearin fuck, fuck, fuck all day.. This was later when the exxplicit rap started to emerge.
